Is your district providing SLP’s PPE or are you responsible for supplying your own? I have heard a ton about teachers and feel that we are being lumped in with them. Districts are not recognizing that we are health care professionals working in an academic environment. We are at much higher risk do to the nature of our work.

So my district’s school board just met, still no plan or direction. Staff goes back Monday 😕. Honestly I can believe I am part of something like this

My friend and I (both Asian and gay) were seating at the cafe on the 2nd floor of Saks Fifth Ave today waiting for our table for the restaurant on the 9th floor. A lady came and asked where are we from, and “why are you two men in this mall? This is for female only”. I said this mall sells products for all genders. She said she has walked all floors and never saw a thing for men. Then she threw curse at me. I stood up and asked her to repeat what she said. She pulled her phone and called 911

I hate my job to the point where it is difficult to be productive, and I can barely get any work done (it’s like I have no energy). Am looking for a new role but who knows how long it will take for a final offer, and I don’t know if it would be right to quit my job and rest. I feel so burned out and trapped. What can I do right now to immediately improve my situation?
