For those that moved from B4 to regional firm, what was the transition like? What do you like better than B4, and what are you missing from B4?

What keeps folks in the FDD accounting firm model (i.e., Big4, RSM, GT) versus leaving for a management consulting model (i.e., A&M, BRG)? As someone who left Big4 for the consulting firm model, I could never imagine going back (FYI - currently at BRG in Healthcare practice).

Is it wrong to not want a promotion? Ive been told I’m on track for one soon but I still have sooo much to learn at this level and I don’t feel ready to move up. I am, in fact, terrified of the next step and the responsibilities that come with it.

Hey guys I am an A2 and want to leave after this upcoming busy season (before being promoted to senior). Is it likely that I could find a job with a 10% increase in salary? I am in northern CA.

Thoughts on getting CFP when done with CPA (1 test left) and pivoting from audit to personal financial planning? Estates, taxes, savings, etc. Or should I just stick the OG plan and go into industry FP&A when I make senior/CPA?
