Hello mates,
Just joined Infosys on Monday and got a call today for an opening in Unilever project. The person mentioned that I will be replacing another resources for now who is on medical leave and would be working on something that is a little below my skill level. Once that resource is back (after 2-3months) I would be transitioning to a better role with more options to look and learn.
As I'm very new here, should I be trusting the word of mouth? It all happened over call. Please suggest

I’m making the switch soon. I’m sure it differs from firm to firm but the few things I’ve noticed is:
1. Clients require more hand holding. Not the cleanest records. That’s fine to me because I feel like I will learn more and I can add more value to the client as opposed to just auditing them.
2. Better pay than Big 4.
3. Better hours. Won’t be working more than 55 during busy season
4. No perks like fitness subsidy but idgaf about that anyways. It’s only $500 so that doesn’t matter to me.
5. Less PTO. 15-20 standard whereas it’s 25 at a Big 4
6. Oh and praise the Lord, less documenting useless information just for the sake of documenting
Definitely will work more than 55 a week. Just not 70+ consistently. We do have 25 days of PTO
