Hi, I been working for Lloyds Bank for almost 9 years now , I recently attended a interview for Barclays and offered an Senior Business Analyst AVP role in Wealth and private banking area. I did not see much difference in the salary offered and it is pretty much same ie 68.5k.But the difference is current role is London based, however the Barclays one is based in Glasgow where cost of living is less in comparison. I am unable to decide whether to take the offer or not..any suggestions will be helpful pls.

Being unemployed is a job! 28 companies in 4 weeks? Let’s just see if sales numbers work. So for every 100 attempts you benefit from 5/10% . I would do a speed search and apply for 50-100 a day ( remote included) and roll the dice. Always add a cover page since most don’t/ use a AI - Chat GBT- to highlight your fabulous! Best of luck 🙋♀️
Four weeks? My man, two years.
I have been looking for over a year
Well four weeks is really not bad. Try two and a half years. Things are tough all over. Tighten your belt, Take anything you can get and ride it out.
My husband has been looking since November of last year and not one single response. He was a General Manager. I’m not sure what’s going on right now.
Good Afternoon. I understand your feeling. Hang tight and if you can, push for your unemployment.
It took me 9 months to land my current gig. I was really starting to panic as well.
Landed a good gig at a hotel in Sales & Catering. I've been here for just 1 year.
Don't give up. You know you... and now thats's your job, to sell you!
I keep telling myself it has to get better, right? I don’t know when or how but something has to change.
I hear you. I got let go too and I am getting the run around but I am to start a job the start of October.
Make it a goal to apply to 200 postings that you qualify for and journal it
I applied for a company in a BDR Position. They stated it would be 1 interview. The Interview went great and was hired. However, that’s where things become interesting? No start date, No Hire letter, No HR communication. I had questioned this and requested clarification. Of course continuing on my employment journey. I would receive emails that they are working on a new client and even set up a meeting with the company but minutes before the meeting, it was canceled. Just stating, the client decided to go in another direction? I then requested a meeting to again request clarification. 2 days and no response. Can anyone explain this situation to me? Is this a new process, nothing states it’s a recruitment company, not even in the Interview? I have 2 Other Companies that I am Interviewing with, so I feel confident in those but my curiosity can’t let me forget about them. TYIA
No offense in this market you will need to be applying to 20-40 jobs per day . You will need to network and step outside of the box to get a job .
