Free versus paid wealth trackers. Anyone have thoughts? I’m getting to the point I want to start tracking everything in one app, forecast etc. not sure which to use tho and which is more secure if I want to link accounts to see everything.

RIP Mint. Monarch and Rocket Money are both okay, Mint was much better in my opinion but it went downhill a few years before they shut it down. Would love to hear what people are using after Mint if anyone is like me and still misses their service

I use Personal Capital. Best free alternative after Mint beat the dust.

I’ve tried lots of tools, but found Personal Capital to be the best for tracking net worth tracking (better than Mint, YNAB, Monarch, Copilot, TrueBill etc).

For budgeting and net worth tracking, best solution I’ve found is Personal Capital plus Excel. Personal Capital categorizes and aggregates transactions from all accounts and lets you export to excel where you can set up custom budgets by month etc.

Thanks this is all helpful! I looked at a few of the options and think I’m going to start with Empower Personal Capital.

Need some advice. Ive been with my GF for 3.5 months now. I’ve caught my GF in multiple lies regarding her sexual/relationship history. When caught, her first reaction is anger at me for asking about her past too much, etc. but eventually she becomes quite sorry and apologetic. She says I shouldn’t care about her past, but I feel that it is important, and I communicate my questions as soon as they come up. I really like her, and I know I could be less curious, but the lying hurts. Thoughts?

Do you have a set $ you save every month? I'm 27, I've been tracking spend since 2020 and my $ saved has very strong variances MoM. If we consider 2021 a more "regular" year, I varied from $600 saved one month up to $3.2k in another (though that was partially due to a job change)... It's not affecting my overall saving % (was 46%) but wondering if I should try to even it out a bit more?

Advice and tips for a first time rental property investor?

I am 24 saving up for my first property to purchase at the end of 2021 / early 2022 in the Long Island, NY area.

I’d like to save up around $50K in my HYSA for a property <$400K in LI. Does this sound reasonable?

Does anyone have any advice on investing in the LI area (best location, SFH v MFH) or just general first time rental property buying advice?

Thanks all

Have money invested in S&P 500, and now starting to regret not having diversified to international stocks as well. Would want to diversify now to buy a total stock market index, however since S&P 500 dropped more than that index, not sure it’s worth to crystallize losses to do that. The alternative is to stop buying S&P 500 and start buying other markets as separate ETFs, to eventually bring in line approx. with total stock market index. Any advice on the best course of action?

How concerned are you about inflation? We have 70% savings rate and 50% of our expenses are housing / utilities of which the largest part is rent which is a fixed contract (no CPI escalation, no automatic increases, paying same rent for 4 years). No car as we are living in a large city. So if I look at the components of CPI and what’s rising I am feeling pretty „good“ about it. The one thing I am „worried“ is asset inflation but obviously that benefits me directly. What am I missing?
