That's an acceptable standard at most firms provided its enough time for you to transition your cases.
Yep. Most of the time they don’t let you stay the two weeks
That’s what I gave. It only took me the first week to tee up my cases for the attorney taking them over. Besides that was a lot of sitting around and taking the random deposition here and there. Didn’t even end up finishing up the 2 weeks. This, I think 2 weeks is plenty
Depends how many cases you have and what’s coming up. But generally two weeks is enough. The firm may ask you for an extra week if they’re in a bind but most firms keep their ears to the ground and always have a couple resumes hanging around.
I think two weeks is ideal. It gives you time to transition files. Typically, you have to notify all of the clients you’ve been assigned to that you’re leaving the firm, and the clients get the option of following you or staying with the firm. Be prepared to assist in making calls to clients and drafting transition letters.
