I think the problem is there are so many candidates that they get to look for the perfect candidate. I do think people should hire based on a mix of skill, potential and drive and not just skill.
There's a lot of truth to that. I think there's also a pervasive problem where people are just indecisive. You hear these horrendous tales of people having to go on multiple interviews with successive interviewers. It's like no one wants to make the decision, so it gets spread out over a bunch of people, and the whole system just breaks down. It's just bad management.

I think it can be hard to judge candidates by interviews!
I believe everyone deserves a chance to prove. Words don't speak louder than actions its actions speak louder than words. Allow these candidates to work and show up and show out if it doesn't work you have every right to get rid of them.. am I right or what
Being a CNA is alot of work. I am taking a break from that but yet I can't seem to find a job anywhere else...
Most of these places are hiring and yet I haven't been called for a interview. Like what is the hold up. I even made calls stating that I had put an application in ... then get some calls back just to hear that my resume is being viewed but I have to wait for the manager to call and set a interview. what do ppl have to show and tell you that they really want the job...
i feel it, escpecially just coming out of school so i have no previous medical work experience. How do employers expect us to have experience if they wont hire us?

I completely agree with this! Sometimes hiring managers get caught up in the idea of the “perfect” candidate and miss out on great people who are more than capable. No one’s flawless, but with the right attitude and skills, someone can learn and thrive. It's better to take a chance on someone who fits well with the team than to let the position stay open forever.
