So I had my NIPT and NT scans last week and I’ve been getting pieces of the results back from my doctor in the patient portal. All seems okay but I’m a bit confused. Does anyone know if FirstScreen is the same thing as NIPT? I was under the impression that NIPT was in 90th percent of certainty for Down syndrome but the result we got, labeled FirstScreen indicate 83% certainty so I’m confused if there are more results coming? I messaged the doctor but haven’t heard back yet.

Anyone else struggling with hormones / mood swings? I am almost 16 weeks and been having a real tough time lately, feeling really down and stressed about things. Sadly, causing tension between me and my partner as well as he cannot relate and seems preoccupied with business as usual. Trying to get out the funk and just telling myself it’s all the hormones.

How much did you all pay for the 20 week ultrasound out of pocket? My 12 week ultrasound cost me $600 so I am guessing the 20 week one would be even more expensive. I have the high deductible plan from United healthcare.

How did you tell your manager you’re pregnant? Did it affect pay/promos? And then, subsequently, how did you start letting colleagues know you’re pregnant? Feels awkward to just randomly drop the news in a meeting! I work remotely so it’s hard to tell by video :) I’m 21 weeks and feel like I’ve waited as long as I can to at least notify my manager.
