HCLTech – Engineering and R&D Services Got an offer as Data Engineer with joining on Oct 6, but I haven’t resigned from my current 3rd party payroll role yet. Earlier I told HR my notice ends Sept 19, later extended. Now stuck—should I resign now and negotiate early release or be transparent with new HR?

I got a call from the Google recruiter about my L7 em interview Google She said I did overwhelmingly good on all interviews except one had mixed feedback on a system design. No surprise because it was not a good interview. The recruiter said i had a choice to go to hiring committee, give referrals they could call about my system design or take another system design interview. I’m not confident about the system design because of the bad experience I had with the previous interviewer. What should I do?

It feels like I will never learn & be forever stuck here. Pls help on how to come out of comfort zone, learn things and apply for the job. Tata Consultancy Infosys Wipro

Hi Everyone,
I need some advice on my situation.
I am currently working as a Data Engineer on a third-party payroll. While giving interviews, I mentioned to the HR that I had a 1-month notice period ending on Sept 19th, 2025. All rounds got completed before that, but the offer wasn’t released on time. Later, I told them my notice was extended by 3 weeks, which the HR accepted. Finally, they released the offer on Oct 1st with a joining date of Oct 6th.
The issue is — I haven’t actually resigned yet from my current company. Now I want to accept this new offer but I’m not sure how to handle this situation smoothly.
Has anyone faced this kind of situation? What would you suggest — should I resign now and try negotiating early release, or discuss frankly with the new HR?
