Off topic: I am stuck in a service based company for last 4 years in a shitty project. The work I do can be done by a 12th grader. Now i want to move out by learning something new & changing my domain. But the thing is I am not able to study because I am stuck in a comfort zone and learning new thing gives me bad anxiety. It feels like I will never learn & be forever stuck here. Pls help on how to come out of comfort zone, learn things and apply for the job. Tata Consultancy Infosys Wipro

Less work.. Manager should not call.. No deadlines.. Work on our pleasure and No force to attend meetings.
Basically anything that doesnt affect our health and mood
Perfect
1. Work you are interested in
2. Trust
3. Call time not more than 1 hr
4. One day in week as dev day , no calls
Trust ( expect estimates tobe deleverd in commited time , dont need to follow up from both side )
This is my current project schedule we follow.
According to me this is wlb and all members in project are helpfull and well sound on tech (can't fool with random daily update.)
Usally , I start it on 10:30 and mosty end on 6:30 , I used to completed my task before deadline.
Hope this will work.
No kaam bas araam
Trust on team members
Flexible work times without monitoring login hours
Giving Constructive feedback
Open opportunities to explore as per ones interest
Regular team outing or meet-up culture
Treating everyone in team equally
No team politics, behind the back talks about individuals
No racial, regional, language discrimination
Luckily, I really had a great team and a manager who really supports the team members with flexibility, openess, enough opportunities which I feel will never find in any other company in future.
Most of the above things, i found in product based companies and working with on-site counterparts... It's tough to find in our service based companies
9 to 6
8-8.30 work hrs
Timing of shift - 9.30/10am - 6/6.30pm
No daily deadline or something
Only follow up once or twice a week for updates.
For me none of the above applies 😔
10.30-8.30pm sometimes it goes beyond 8.30pm which equates to more than 10hrs of work
A work given is asked twice a day for update. 😣
Sometimes I finish a work in a day it's ok but sometimes I take 2 days or even 3 days for a medium task and they hit me with questions like why is it not complete and other questions which bugs me a lot.
I have seen my friends who work in different companies are given so much liberty to work on a thing as long as they want and update once a week and they are not poked daily for it.
Want to join a similar company 🫤
Just the fact that management cares about their employee's personal life, give them space and time be with their families. In short, the management mustn't expect their employees to work post working hours or during weekends. That's wlb !
To me WLB means no work or work related calls after the working hours and during the weekend . Also the flexibility on taking short leaves.

It's like asking what people expect in happiness. For some spending with family is happiness and for some being alone is happiness.
You decide what you see as WLB . Some wants more free time. Some don't mind working long if the work is interesting. Sone do not want calls in evening hours as they want to spend time with kids. Sone want few meetings and calls to attend. Each to their own.
It's called friends with benefits in "platonic" friendships, live-in relationships without marriage, an open marriage while married and wlb while working in a corporate job.
Work stress or work related thoughts not impacting me after my work hours.
People expect only life, no work ..
We expect balance b/w work and life.
Work that is fulfilling and able to devote time to life when needed.
Eg: not having to work on b'day, anniversary, or weekends. Ability to have defined or reasonable working hours
