Is it worth it to leave accenture and join tcs as SE with 5.5lpa as datastage developer, I have experience of 1.5 yeo with ETL tools datastage and talend skill. Reason of leaving : toxic environment and hectic work, less scope of learning. I tried negotiating on salary as if I get promoted in accenture I would get the same salary tcs said with 1.5 yeo they give only 30% hike.

Federal government spending and budgeting is always a major topic. We have one side that hates military spending and one side that’s hates social and welfare programs(yes simple exaggerations) . Why is there not much talk about ever reducing federal budget salaries and lack of accountability to be inefficient and have then pay contractors to do the work What is three times the salary someone is paid to do.

Seeking advice: I’ve been working as an analyst at a PE company for 18months 4 days a week on a part time contract and I feel like they are under paying me. I’m earning 42.2K p.a They want me to go full time as I am graduating however I don’t know what the base salary for an analyst with 18 months experience would be. How do you guys manage your work/life balance on weekends? My phone is constantly buzzing and it obviously irritates my partner… but I feel like if I’m not super responsive on Saturdays, my clients will go find an agent who is. It’s getting stressful 😬

I am aware that I’m really flaky and just not reliable when it comes to things that aren’t super important. Example say I have 1:1 with a potential mentor or career chat, but I have a pressing meeting the same day. I’ll post pone it to prepare. Sometimes that happens multiple times. What do you do about missing work? I have so many students that miss days or just don’t complete work in class and are given the work to make up, but it never gets turned in. I spent so many days tracking down so many students hounding them for their missing work. Do I keep hounding them or make them be responsible 8th graders and give them zeros until they learn. I only grade 1 per week IF that. There’s usually only 2 handouts a week. The rest of the days are activities or other hands on things

Often in the interview, interviewer asks about how virtual dom works or what is react or where is implementation of setTimeoutEffect(in v6 or ESMAScripts). Or Even in Nodejs interview they ask about event loop or v8 engine r libuv which is not required while programming with nodejs. I was just curios why they ask these, because in actual development I dont think these concepts are much helpful (even if those are the once we build things on), these are only for what is happening in background
