Got an offer (yay!) and waiting on hireright to complete the background check. Anyone had experience with them since the pandemic and if so, how long did it take?

Oh wow, super relevant question for me. Working with them right now to get my background check done. They quoted me 2-8 days after I finished last weekend but just chatted with customer service today and now they’re saying an additional 5 business days?? Puts me in an awkward position cause I’ve already discussed a starting date with new company but I want peace of mind from the background check before submitting my 2 weeks

EY1, when I interviewed, they never asked my current salary. I did not negotiate my salary either. I gave my expectation and ended up getting more than I asked. Also, when you provided w2 for verification, you could redact sensitive information like wages and ssn. Hope this helps.

Congrats! HireRight was a bit pain to deal with. If you have previous jobs, please make sure to provide actual working numbers. Otherwise, it will take additional days to complete. Also, be prepared to provide W2 or pay stubs. Assuming no criminal history, it should take a week or less. Once again, congratulations. I am leaving too.

Morgan Stanley Referral?

I'm interested in a new grad quantitative analyst position at Morgan Stanley (Montreal, Quebec, Canada). It's a hybrid position

I have 1yr experience as a data analyst at AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) and feel like I fit the requirements very well.

I'm happy to talk in more detail if there's anyone who can reach out! Any help with the referral is greatly appreciated!

Lastly, if you could just reach out with advice about the process prep, I'd be very grateful as well!
