Got recruited into big oil and gas. Was the first time working in a decent role after several years working in a deadbeat government role with no projects or gwtoth opportunities. Then moving countries and working as a security officer. When I applied the role, it was kind of difficult searching online for the salary range. So I told them I'd take a base pay of £35-£45k. I finally cleared the interview and was recruited. I was started at £45k.

So I’m an Hr executive in my current organisation on a third party payroll with current ctc of 3.6 LPA (fixed). I have 2 offers both are on the companies payroll.
First is PNB Housing and Finance where in I’m being hired 1 level up as a Sr. executive-Hr with an offer of 4.8 LPA (fixed).
Second in SBI life insurance wherein I’m being hired as 2 level up i.e. an Assistant Manager- HR with an offer of 4.7 LPA (fixed).

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I’m located in NY so the recruiter said he would try to get me more. Ultimately he came back at 90K which is a bit inline with that I was seeing on Glassdoor but approx looks like I may leave 10-12K on the table.
