It’s rough. I’m similar to you ex o&g guy and having hard traction going back into o&g in a non engineering capacity. So I think I’ll have to pivot industries completely.
How you planning to do that tactically and what industries are you looking at?
Going back to oil & gas doesn't really seem possible. The few exits I've seen look really weak. Tech generalist role probably our only option
Based on client demand across the energy sector you’d think there would be high demand to hire some of us vs massive fees but have not seen all that many exits there recently. Also notice looking at my clients leaderships they’re usually almost exclusively lifers from the company
As experienced hire from oil and gas on generalist track, won’t be surprised energy guys are not keen to hire ex-McK as industrial knowledge is the key.
But still curious if there are recent - 6 months time frame - exits to GEM industries.
