Kind souls who successfully exited to Google,
Would you be kind enough to refer me to a role at Google!
Came across a role that's a good fit. Would ideally like to target it through a referral and not by applying through the career site.
Would also love to maybe take you for a meal or alike to thank you for it :) Google

I think broad consensus is don't work at Amazon. I also received a reach out from an Amazon recruiter, and I just left it on read. They also have a back loaded vest schedule so they can either burn you out or PIP you so you can lose a lot of your expected comp by leaving early. I think it's only worth it for someone who wants Amazon on their resume to pivot into tech, but I'd be interested to hear from people that know if having Amazon TPgM on your resume is THAT valuable. I feel like Amazon doesn't have that much sex appeal in the tech space, but I am not going to claim I actually know. I feel like your Director/SM roles might actually be more valuable for other exit opportunities.
Interesting. I have heard bad things about AMZN as well.
Ex- Sr TPM at Amazon, and I agreed with previous post. 4 years to get vested is a long time, and the Amazon role was emotionally taxing. I also had really bad manager.
I am much happier as a SC.
Love Amazon as a consumer, they are doing great things, and their level of efficiency is beyond any firms I worked for.
1) besides project not resourced, they live and stand firm by their leadership principles, one of them is being frugal. It is a fight for everything
2) with so many turn overs, they need a process, but everyone still acts like day 1 (pure chaos)
3) LPs of earn trust, no one believes that, everyone wants to climb up, teamwork is virtually does not exist.
I might have an one sided POV. The last straw for me was walking through a Distribution centers and confirming the conditions of employees.
Depends on your goals. Do you want to stay in Consulting or exit to industry long term? Is Tech your ultimate goal?
And to confirm, is the Amazon offer for a Technical Program Manager or Product Manager - Tech?
OP what did you do finally?
I'm in a similar situation. Go with SM title if your goal is growth and money
