If it was your idea or if you contributed to it in a significant way put it in your book. The fact that they left you off the credits shows you dodged a bullet. Sounds toxic.
Of course put it in. And, maybe contact someone at the company you had a good relationship with who can verify to Cannes that you worked on it and have them update the credits.
Reach out to the producer.
Credits don’t matter as much as word of mouth. If you did the work, put it in. People will vouch for you. If you didn’t, you’ll take a serious reputational hit.
What were the conduct issues?
i've contacted two old account managers to get written confirmation that we indeed pitched them, however, the fact that our names are not on the official credits of any of the award shows' websites worries me about even trying
Stick the work in your book and describe what your role was.
If you had nothing to do with the execution and just pitched the idea, just be careful another team didn’t come up with the same idea in parallel. That happens all the time. It could make you look like a lying credit stealer.
