Apple laptop question: starting with Apple next week and just received their laptop, but it does not come with any pre-configured corporate credential. Is this normal that we have to set everything up from the scratch on day 1?

Salary cut 20% first week the virus broke out, no bonuses this year, and it’s unlikely that we will get that 20% back. Good thing this was my first year and I earned all of 3 months of my salary. 😑

I think it’s insane how quickly people forgot what a normal car price is. I’m looking at reviews for poorly equipped vehicles selling for $40k and people are calling them values. Like on what planet? Plastic steering wheel, manual climate controls, cloth seats, 4cyl engine, etc etc and $40k is “value”. How can I be mad at OEMs and dealers when there are idiots buying these things?

I’m an immigration paralegal but I have an MA in human rights. I’ve been working at my org for 2 1/2 years but I don’t see an upwards growth for me unless I go to law school but that is really expensive and it’ll take a few years. Hi all! I am on the hunt for a new nonprofit fundraising/development manager position in DC (or remote). Might anyone have a strong lead or an organization they would recommend? I currently work in this space and have experience fundraising and managing corporate, law firm, and foundation relationships. I’ll start, I’m an attorney at a civil rights nonprofit (going on five years) and previously worked for the fed govt.

My friend is a 4th year public defender in NYC. T14 grad and easily one of the smartest, most capable attorneys and professionals I know. He finally hit the limit and is looking to pivot out of PD work when she moves to Oregon next year. Does anyone have any experience seeing this PD - private practice transition happen? Job offer for attorney position in Raleigh at USCIR. The offer is 65k and the hiring attorney indicated that 65 is the max. Has anyone had success negotiating higher salary or increased benefits (eg maternity leave, PTO, WFH, etc) - 3 years of experience in immigration law

I know nonprofits have to register in each state where they solicit charitable donations. What if someone from a state where the org isn’t registered makes a donation bc of something they saw online or on social media?
