Google forms with a tinyurl address for surveys and quizzes are a great way to get started.
At a conference once they told us to set up fitness stations and have a QR code with a link to directions and videos on how to do the exercises.
I use tech all the time. We are a 1:1 iPad school as well. What types of ideas are you curious of?
We are 1:1 as well. But many of our students “forget” them or don’t charge them. Making more work for me.
I utilize google classroom to assign and collect work, but overall, it’s not at great as it could be
I love GoNoodle!!
Could they have an activity log that they have to fill out every class as an exit slip? Do you pedometers?? They could track their steps.
1) Fitness center rotations where each iPad center has a different physical activity to engage in for a period of time and you guide the rotations. I’d think it would be important for the students to already have been taught how to do whatever exercises are being shown on the videos on a previous day/class. 2) students can keep fitness journals digitally that teacher can access. What you track and when you track it can vary based on your instructional preferences. For example, if you want to make sure your students are working in their target heart rate zone. They can take a pulse or use a heart rate monitor to measure that and input their heart rate data at different points in their workout. Another way is to give them self evaluation poles when teaching a certain skill/sport. All of this helps to create and practice independently in the PE standard of becoming a life long learner and engagement in physical activity.
