Wasn't necessarily a boomerang, but I have left and returned. Thats why I try to keep as many bridges intact when I leave as possible. My job was very cool about it, but we had stayed on good terms and communicated when I left.
This is really great advice. Always try not to burn the bridge. Never know when you might have to go back.
I have but it was strategic so that I could come back in a higher ranking position. I went to a competitor and got some insights as well then came back as a Senior manager
I did the same thing! I really just needed the increase in pay badly
I've always gritted my teeth at the thought of doing this, but I think its because of my pride 😅.
If there's a great opportunity, I would go for it regardless of whether you were there prior to. If you left on a good note, I imagine management would be happy to have you back.
I'm being offered something similar and debating whether to take it or not...I liked my old job, but they didn't pay well. Now they're offering to pay, and I can't decide if I should go back
I’ve always wondered about this scenario. On one hand, I’m like okay I have history with this company. But on the other hand, if they truly valued me why would they not pay me better in the first place? It’s kinda like an ex that wants to do right all of a sudden after you got a new boo lol — even if you ended amicably.
