Has anyone else interviewed in an almost empty office while the company still pushes a strict RTO policy? I had an in-person interview today, and the office felt like a ghost town. They require 4 days in office, but most of the team seemed to be offshore or in other locations. I don’t mind RTO, but it made me wonder what the point is if you’re commuting just to sit in a quiet office on Zoom calls all day.

Advice needed on handing in notice, I recently signed an offer letter and understand the screening process takes 4-6 weeks. I have a month's notice period and have agreed a preliminary start date in Feb.

I was planning on not handing my notice in until the checks had been completed so its all secured (not that I think I will fail any checks), but apparently I need a reference from my current employer not previous ones. Can't really do this without handing in notice can I?
