Does BofA give broadband reimbursement?
Hi,
I have joined ACTI a month back in Kolkata in L9. I wanted to opt for Company Car Lease policy just to save TAX but finding it too complicated.
I had raised queries to payrole and they have replied with a suggestion to think twice before opting for this benifit.
What do you all suggest, who have already opted for it?Accenture
Any IPS Advisory folks out here ?

Never even heard of it. I’d probably stick with Kaplan/Princeton Review as they’re reputable.
Is this a newer program? I don’t think I’ve heard of it before, but it does sound interesting. The LSAT is tough, especially since it doesn’t really have much to do with actually practicing law.
Like PC1, I've never heard of this program. I did some quick research and noticed that "over 30% of U.S. law schools" are approved to use it. If you did this, you'd be severely limiting your law school options.
I should also add that if you're not good with standardized tests you should really think about whether or not law school is the right move for you. Its a huge financial and time commitment. The bar is one massive standardized test and you can't become an attorney without passing it.
It’s still a standardized test but some schools take the GMAT or GRE in replacement of the LSAT which might be a better fit. Plus some schools may look favorably at your application if you have a high undergrad GPA because they don’t take the hit on an otherwise low LSAT for reporting purposes
I appreciate the feedback, becoming an attorneys has been my dream career my entire life so I really would like to pursue it. I understand the Bar has to be passed in order to become an attorney. Does the bar test you on the actual law or is it just a bunch of logic games and readings like the LSAT?
The LSAT got rid of the logic games in 2024.
The bar is a combination of knowing the law and logic games, in my opinion. Many of the multiple choice questions are structured so that each answer could be right, but you have to figure out which answer is the most right in 45 seconds (or something like that).
The essays are also designed to be difficult. In one set of essays, you have to identify the area of law, identify the specific rule and then make an argument in a very limited period of time. In another, you're given fake case law and a series of facts. You have to draft the document (usually a memo or client letter) using the information provided.
Keep in mind: the bar is 17 final exams crammed into one. It is a massive standardized test that you get years to prepare for. But it is a standardized test.
Okay, so I could not understand how the LSAT evaluates your ability to handle law school until much later. Once I had graduated and taken bar exams, I totally understood. My sister's boyfriend was studying for the LSAT a few years ago--after I had passed bars and was working as an attorney, and out of curiosity, I took a section, and I got every single one correct and it was super easy. Mind you, I did well on the LSAT, but nothing spectacular. There is clearly something the LSAT does to prepare and evaluate the skills necessary to complete law school and pass bar exams. I feel as though it is an extremely important start to your legal journey.
