People will do anything but live a normal lifestyle.
I have always been a bigger person and grew up in a 90s diet CULTure household
Since leaving that environment I’ve been steadily dropping weight all while my mom is struggling to lose 20 pounds
I one time didn’t eat any food for 3 days, not as a diet i fasted before Easter once just to see if I could, I don’t recall any weird reactions but I’m just 1 person. Definitely try it on a weekend when you’re home before trying at work and consider working your way up to it before hand, like a 1 day fast or a 2 day fast a couple weeks before trying 3 days.

Yes makes sense! My goal is to just do a reset and feel better since a lot of peope online says it’s life changing so I’m curious in that aspect how I would feel after.
Kevin James once did this for 41 days and lost 60 pounds - but then he is not exactly what you picture for a healthy lifestyle!

41 days is insane!
Do it! I probably have a different point of view than most but it's based on having two very close friends who have had very lifechanging experiences due to water fasts. I think it can be a very effective "reset button" for metabolism and eating habits. In the past 6 months, I've done two - first one was a 3 day and 2nd was a 4 day fast. I actually enjoyed both of them and did not feel hungry. If you stay very hydrated with electrolytes and potassium, you probably won't feel lightheaded much. You do lose quite a bit of weight but that comes back for the most part once done. Your actual weight loss is close to 1/2 a pound per day. My friends routinely do water fasts that are 10+ days. They have both seen some significant health improvements in areas like blood pressure.

Thank you! I have one friend that said they were saving food/snacks that they were craving during day 1 and day 2, then when the fasting was over, their sugar cravings and snack cravings were gone. Was that the case with your two friends as well? I am hoping snack cravings will disappear once I start it! I will most likely try next week on a Thursday or Friday to be safe since it’s near the weekend.
I'd be cautious doing a fast like this, especially when you have to be at work. It can have negative impact on your digestion (sometimes it has an enema-like effect), and you'll also likely be very lightheaded. If you want to do something like this, I'd recommend still drinking broths and doing it over a weekend.
I would probably not encourage you to do that unless you talk to a doctor first. I could put you at risk of low blood sugar, fainting, and other medical issues. I used to do intermittent fasting, or I only ate once a day, and it was great for managing hunger, but I don't think I could do it for several days.
Ive done the fast and its not that hard. The first day may be a tad bit difficult due to hunger but after that you dont feel as hungry. But make sure when yiu break your fast you eat real foods (fruit, veg, meat, whole foods)

Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely try to take it easy once I break my fast!
Sure, I’ve done it and it’s not that bad if you plan it out. The main hurdle for a fast like that is when your body goes from burning carbs for fuel to your body’s fat storage. It’s called hitting the wall in marathon running. You can prevent this by going to a low carb (under 30g) diet a day or two before to avoid brain fog on day one of the fast. After that it’s pretty simple to keep going for the next few days of fasting, just make sure you get the right amount of water and electrolytes: sodium, magnesium, and potassium (potassium in the us is harder to find but can be found in the grocery store as low sodium salt). If you have any questions feel free to reply.
