How's the job market lately? I'm considering quitting, moving there, then starting my search. Do you think it'd take more than a few months (say, 6 max) to land a good role?

Curious what part of the country you are moving from as you may want to take cost of living/salary adjustment into consideration. As mentioned, the job market is pretty strong in the Denver area and Colorado growth over all is booming. Had a few friends recently relocate and found positions within a few months but did take a couple more months to go through the hiring process -so another thing to think about when managing that six-month window. Good luck!

Thank you for this insight! I'm moving from Chicago. Here's hoping the hot job market works in my favor. 🤞

Honestly I'd just start your search now.

But the job market is pretty good, so even if you do quit and move here first, I'm sure you'd find something quickly.

Totally fair - passively looking is more than fine. Good luck!

I don’t wanna undersell but also trying to avoid being aggressive but quote a decent number which will be achievable. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Is 125k $ base a fair value for or I can pitch higher? They have a 15 to 20 % bonus on top of base pay and a 10% match on 401k which the recruiter keep highlighting.

Can anyone refer me for SAP Functional Consultant role??? I have 5.5 YOE from KPMG & EY so far. Worked in SAP Implementation/Deployment program as a Techno-Functional role.

Is Operations paid the least at your respective firms? I was hired to a Client Service Delivery role with a heavy focus on project management. I regularly interface with leadership internally and at the client. But, I am aligned to the “Operations” capability and make the least of my teammates who perform seemingly identical work but are aligned to “Strategy and Consulting.” I worry I’m on a career path to being paid the least wherever I go, because Operations is in my title and background.

Do recruiters and Hiring Managers actually review and read resumes? Also tech companies that sell SaaS, what is it with the requirements of having 10 years or more if technical sales experience? Also the ramp up period is not realistic. Average sales cycle for a reputable SaaS provider is 12-24 months. How on earth a start up can state that their ramp up period is 90 days? The company hasn’t had any new sales either. Start up CEO’s… be realistic or seek enough funding to operate.

I joined a new consulting firm and have been here for 6 months. Recently, a SaaS client (1k employees) that hired my old consulting firm reached out to me about a job opening - Lead BA working primarily to implement their benefit admin system for insurance companies. My current TC is 95k. Is it worth making the jump if the offer is north of 110k? Anything I should look out for? The client and coworkers were all nice, but I remember being stressed on the project due to limited resources.
