My partner and I bought our home back in 2020. We got a good deal, low rate. But we want to move into a more spacious SFH. However, as we all know this market is crazy. Everything we want costs $620k+ and bc of rates it makes our mortgage estimates $3500+. We are currently paying $2k. And it looks we need to sell the house simultaneously as look for a new one or our contingency isn’t as attractive. I know it’s based on personal circumstances. But what would you do? - not move, sell and buy?

Hi! I am not YET retired but these are trying times. I am in bed with the Utah Returemtn System and would love any words of encouragement or light at the end of the tunnel l? Retirement eligible in 7 years but don’t want to draw on my state retirement until 62 or 65(to Max my benefits!) it’s so hard an scary! Not sure I’ll make it.
