Try other firms and negotiate on the basis of money. Don't mention the level. I got in with same but got to sc in 2 yrs with decent hike. So I was overpaid in c and sc population. One thing it helps is being at lower levels makes staffing super easy and you can rock and get promoted faster. There is truth in when they said you need core consulting skills. You can bit home grown consultant on tech skills but there is lot of learning needs to happen to become pro consultant. I had exact same background you have so can relate

Try negotiating was in the same boat last year, offered 100k @Consultant. Negotiated with HR and the Partner i was supposed to work with finally joined as SC @130k with 10k Joining bonus. FYI i had 4.5 years of experience while applying. Dont low ball yourself try talk to HR worth a shot.
Never join D, unless you want to get your *** screwed..
I used to be at D. They did the same with me. The culture at Deloitte is not technology friendly. I wouldn’t recommend taking a step down and going to Deloitte. Not worth it

Not uncommon. Assuming that not all of your 8 yrs is at a B4 and some of it is back in India.

Correct have 4 years in India and 2 years in US Wipro and 2 in Product Company. Do really worth to join as consultant? Just look for another B4
Ask about the career roadmap , like when can you get promoted to sc. nobody will give you guarantees , but good to get an idea
I think you have been low balled.
That is a fair deal. Deloitte gets you one level down from the position you are. Getting promoted should not be that difficult
