Have been working in a hotel industry for a period of 7 years, i didn't go in college but I worked with experienced chef who taught me alot... It's so hard to find job since I have no papers to proof my capabilities and skills ... I managed to take a short course (barista) but am currently in Qatar and there are no jobs here.
How I wish some companies can consider giving people trials to showcase what they can do to the industry before considering those papers which some aren't legit.

Those who recently joined ARA how was the transition? Any advise on what I can look/research on now to help on my first couple of assignments?

I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

I recently had an interview with BNY for an Analyst role located in DE. The interview went well and I was informed by the recruiter that the team was interested. They asked if I was willing to relocate immediately, and I told him that my decision would be best made if I see an offer. I have not yet received a follow up after this(coming on two weeks) so I know that I've been ghosted. My question is, was I wrong to ask to see the offer before making a decision?
