Siemens Hello all, plz provide me some insights about engineer - design and development position for the CT department of siemens healthineers (wlb, hikes). I got an offer for this dept. The work sounds interesting to me but I'm worrying abt tech stack as it is a bit old (.net framework)

Welcome
I joined 2 weeks ago and I feel that.. newly hired managers are making the work culture toxic.
May be they are trying to prove themselves that they are able to get the work done in less time. This will put more pressure on the team.
My team has Manager who is working in FedEx for last 9 years and he is cool. He prioritise wellbeing over work
My standup is at 11AM , I come around 10 45 AM and leave at 4PM, sometimes I will connect for an hour at home
No late night calls.
We are doing a new app from scratch and using latest version of frameworks and practices
PI calls - not sure
I see everything is depend on Manager
Ask someone who joined on day 1 will also tell you the same.

Cons continued -
6. Chindigiri (cheap stake/shoddy behaviour) by management. For example removing cookies from cafeteria as people were eating it. I mean WTF.
7. Fake jingoism about FedEx culture. People feel proud saying they have worked for N number of years in FedEx , but they are firing people in USA left, right and centre. Hence people in USA are pressurising ACC employees to stretch beyond working hours to save their own a**.
8. Incompetent Managers- don't know how to lead a team.
9. Misleading Hiring- People are hired for one technology and when they join, come to know that technology isn't used here.
10. No transport or cab facility provided.
11. Only one day WFH, whereas most of the companies are providing 3 days WFH weekly.
Verdict- Join at own risk only if you desperately need a job or provided with good hike. Don't join thinking about brand value or product based company tag.
Its my personal views and I don't intend to misguide or give false claims. For employees working at ACC, let me know what you guys think?
Its true every point
Almost all points are correct

Someone spoke the truth, cannot agree more on this you missed like micromanagement, too many managers, no town halls from hyd leadership, no clear kt sessions and manager expects work to be done without proper handoff of things, some how struggled a lot and still the struggles are on to get the things as process are too long.work wise man 15 year old technologies, instead of learning new things i am doing the work of support guy which i did 15 years ago.daily starting day at 930 am and it ends at 10pm and some invites do start at 12am too.including 2-3 hours in hyd traffic and even before the body recovers from it next day again expected to be in office.Few months ago it looked like things will improve but now it seems that it has gone worst than when this center got started. It a big no if someone wants to join until there is a strong leader who can fix all these issues faced by employees. Still they keep on hiring, I don’t understand what they are upto. PSP culture is nowhere seen.

Exactly, initially I like others was optimistic and thought things would change. It has been a year since they have started and things are moving from bad to worst.
FedEx's Purple promise and all those crap are for people outside India. They are the privileged once who enjoy all those perks. For people at India, especially ACC, we are just cheap labourers who can work 15-18 hours daily(9 hrs indian shift + 6 hrs US shift).
Thankgod i was not shortlisted in the interview. I feel glad now after reading your post and comments. The interviewers who interviewed me were from USA and they were literally reading questions from a document. I was like WTF. They also told me dont expect any latest tech stack and it will be all old legacy platforms that we need to work on. They dont even know what kind of work a Product owner/manager does. They just ask some behaviourial questions and atlast reject u. I feel they just want to prolong and not select any candidates so that they can sustain in the company for more days in the name of hiring

It's common that they don't have much visibility and runway for projects.
Had it been some exciting technology to work for , we can stretch. But no, they would make you work on old tools and useless support projects.
People in USA expects ACC employees to be present online during their working hours.
Plus we will be getting peanuts in the form of performance pay
Another point I want to update is I don't have any issue with timings but the team is totally trash. Full of politics, no collaboration. Everyone wants to prove that they're better.
Oh god, is it the same across most of the teams. In our team we do have few such ultra high attitude chaps. No courtesy to reply to a good morning also.
Also the incompetent managers make the team a garbage full of trash.
Never feel like going office.
Your tech stack and yoe ?
Just wanted to correct as this post gives too much negative impression.
1) till now I haven't worked 16hrs in a day at fedex acc
2) YUP there will be late night calls but not daily. Which is same for every org. If something is important then we need to take calls till late night.
5) we have parking place
7) US people don't expect us to work long hours. Atleast in my team they're kind and they don't expect us to work in US hours. They even moved weekly syncs to IST timings
Idk how many people got inspired and rejected the offer letter
unfortunately my manager is a micro so cannot really tell him. He has his own rules apart from hr. When company talks a lot about culture then first the leaders should follow it.its lot to talk, still hoping this can be a best company if they have a clear vision, can get good work/new technologies for acc.
Ok
