Last week team dynamics took a turn for the worst (even tho in each retro the team always commend each other, you would think team work is great). Just got let go and my manager said part of it was because I was looking for other jobs. I didn't look for other jobs at work, so I'm not sure how they could have known that unless a coworker snitched on me. Is it worth it to try and find out who or should I just leave it? Can't deny that I'm seriously pissed off about it.

What should I reasonably expect from a junior?

I manage a junior developer that's been with the company for about 18 months. I end up providing them of TON of support. I need to give them extremely detailed instructions or they fail. For bugs, I need to point them to a specific function that's causing the bug. For new features, I'm basically writing their method signatures and defining their test cases.

I've tried asking them to do more on their own, but when I do, they fail spectacularly.

Networking question here. A retired partner at the firm I used to work out reached out to me recently about attending an afternoon during the week (b4 4/30) with one of his long time clients. The partner and I have kept in touch since I joined my new firm and I feel like his invitation is a great networking opportunity since the client (who I have worked with before) is on a number of boards. Torn as how to request off as an S3. Could materialize to nothing but could be good for reconnecting.

2012 Sr Associate. Left my firm in February after being recruited by a partner I used to work for, and it turns out I’m not very happy. Difficult people, terrible schedule and ruined vacations so far. A partner at my old firm in another group has asked if I would come back to work for just him. I liked working for him, we have great rapport and I could do permanent WFH since he is in another city. I don’t want to burn bridges, would this be a bad idea? Or an easy decision?

I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge.
