Me: I don’t want us to have a confrontational relationship and I think we can agree something needs to change. When you make stupid decisions, that affects my business and it makes me feel like you’re not up to the job. That makes it harder for my team to do our jobs. I think to be an authentic leader I need to be radically candid with you and point our your mistakes. So are you willing to work with me on this?

My hands are shaking!! I just got off a call with my toxic manager who is clearly not happy I am being poached for another division. Not sure if this is the right place, but in a privately owned business located in a right to work state, is verbal abuse allowed and would swearing at and putting down an employee in front of a bunch of other employees and in front of customers be deemed verbal abuse? Can owners demand you work a certain amount of hours a week if it’s 100% commission?

I have a direct report who is smart, passionate about her job and can be really innovative. Is it too late in our lives to jump into a mortgage?

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting.
