Has anyone interviewed with Citi?
Cleared Accenture Skill interview by answering almost all the questions and received congratulatory mail for HR round and submitting all documents. Then after a week received a call from HR saying that due to some technical issue, the skills round will happen again and an online assessment was set up. In the assessment, questions which were not directly related to the profile were asked and then a rejection mail was received. Does this happen a lot?

Always resign only when you have offer in hand. Right now market is not that good so you are taking too much pressure on your self once you are at the end of your notice period..
Because if there is gap in your employment to get a job is more difficult....
Best wishes to you.. hope you will find a good opportunities..
My last company also have 90 day notice period and this time also. And I got the offer both the time..
Again, there are n number of scenarios if the company culture is toxic, the environment is not supporting, there is too much work load/pressure, there is no growth, and many more so in this case, some times we have to resign from that company and after resigning in serving notice or after serving notice until we get a job, we can enhance our skills as well.
I resigned from my company on Dec 4, without any offers, with a 60days notice. I was in bench as my project got ramped down once the application was ready and no more funding was provided by client for that project.
I was confident with my skillset and was attending interviews with a confirmation that I can be relieved within 15 days as I was not having any assignments in my current company.
Many companies agreed and I attended arrund 25 interviews starting from Nov last week till January 1st week.
My official last day was feb 1 but I got an early release by Jan 20 once I knew I got the right job for me.
I searched for my job through naukri, I had updated my data as 15 to 30 days joinee, so I got many calls.
It will work out if you are confident in your skill set and if they are relevant to current openings.
For exmple I am a QA - and most jobs were asking for Java Selenium, Rest assured, cucumber, bit of a test/team lead role handling juniors, and above 5 years automation exp. I had all these and my profile was matching for most of the job posts.
Similarly you can test the waters by just modifying your profile in Naukri and see if you are getting calls, if you are getting them then confidently apply resignation and try it with full focus.
If you are working in a project then it will be tough to prepare, but take time and do it if you are able to, you will get a good opportunity outside.
If you are in bench then it's very convenient to get one.
Note - I did very bad in my initial interviews, but as I attended more interviews it got easy to navigate through the questions. I was asked to write programs and I stuttered in the interviews even if I had practised that code prior, but through the last few interviews I got selected in 5 of the service companies. Initially we would feel we are trash, but slowly we will know we can do it, just look ahead and don't even mind about failed interviews. Only thing is to remember every question and note it down and google it after the interview, coz most of the interview questions are repetitive, and we can do better in the next one.
All the best, if you are good enough you will get your next job no matter what, good luck to you.
hi can you please tell me where and how to apply, as i tried yo apply but got no responses
I resigned after securing my 1st offer to join by next 45 days and then used that to get another offer to join within next 30 days and so on to complete my 90 days notice period.
Yes, I left my job on September 2024 and still i don't have any offer, it's about to 5 months. it's very hard to explain how it's feels.
Yes, my last working day was 31st October 2024 & now I’m looking for a job from the November 2024
Well, it totally depends on your experience, skills and how you present in the interviews. I have seen people getting offers from very next day, also people who has been trying for last 6 months.
From my own experience, I will suggest you to resign only when you have some offer on your hand.
I resigned without any offer letter in new year but I was confident about my skills. My CCTC is very low as per standards so I had to make some tough choice. After resignation, I gave set of interviews and positive feedback from HR but no offer letter. It took 3 weeks after that I finally got the letter. I interviewed in another company also but HR hasn't shared the letter even after all discussion. I have got 5-6 interview calls since then.
All calls I received are from Naukri portal only. HR do checks linkedIn profile though from your resume.
I had resigned without a job in hand last year as I wanted sometime off before I join somewhere else. I came with 5yrs experience and hence was confident that getting another offer would not be as difficult and had meticulously planned how to go about the next few months. After 3months of spending time on myself, working on my health etc, I started working on my resume and hunting jobs. It took me good 2months to land the first interview. But from there, I kept getting a lot of calls but not what I’d want for my career. Until 7months later I realised I needed any job available now and accepted the next offer I received unwillingly. Within the first week of my joining I got a call from my dream company and I managed to crack the interview and eventually joined there.
Long story short, it may feel disheartening when things don’t go as planned but sometimes it’s good to take a leap of faith on yourself and do what your heart says. Had I not quit last year, I wouldn’t have worked so hard and landed my dream company today. Also, I was able to do this because I didn’t have any bills to pay. So in your case, if you have that kind of freedom, and you know what your goal is, go ahead and take that plunge! Good luck! 🍀
I recently quit from a startup on a sudden note without any offers or interviews lined up, initially I was a little depressed but I was happy for leaving that startup, I just completed interviews with a MNC and I've been asked to share documents for verification and just waiting for the offer letter, its been 2 weeks since I quit
I resigned multiple times without any job in my hand, I could get job with in one month from my LWD
Never
Yes I have resigned without an offer in hand and I am still searching for a job it's been 12 days.
Serching from last 50 days
Pro
Firstly tell how much exp you have and what's ur current CTC.
My exp
I had resigned without offer in jan 2024 (got influenced by my friends they also did the same back then) but I would tell it's really tough to be in that situation. At one point I was very scared and I talk to my manager to take paper back but at the end I left as I got multiple offers. And if you are prepared and you have skills you will get job as I got multiple offers in my notice period only. But I won't suggest anyone to put paper without offer it's your personal call like I did you can't blame other that I put resignation because of his/her.
I also resigned in November and still looking for a suitable job
Yes I recently resigned in previous company in December and now I have 2-3 offer letters and I joined a company Today as a software engineer, almost 1 month time took me to get a job.
It really depends on various factors, like:
1. Work Domain ( Certain industries & profiles may have
more opportunities than others )
2. Your skills & experience
3. Market situation ( e.g. COVID like disruption) etc.
So, it is always suggested to have an offer in hand unless the reason is really compelling .
It totally depends on your skills and the expertise. According to me , it takes somewhere around 2-3 months maximum. The competency for interview matters. First of all be at peace of your mind and believe in yourself and your skills.
Last working day was Nov 25. Interviewed for something on Nov 29, secured by mid-Dec. Resigned on first day on Jan 13 due to some incompatibility :P Now looking again. Oh and I have applied to probably like 1k jobs in these 3 months
I have done this twice.
First was in 2022, when I was working in TCS. I had to resign because nobody was ready to wait for 3 months. But ended up getting two offer one from IBS and other from DXC. I joined IBS.
Second time too, I resigned from IBS without any offer. The work culture was pathetic and I couldn’t sacrifice my mental health anymore. So I resigned. I ended up getting two offers from QBurst and Vvdn.
So if I were you, I wouldn’t stress too much about it. Just do what your heart says. But I wouldn’t stress too suggest you to prepare yourself very well.

I have done it twice and will do it again if required. First time I did was during covid it took me 8 months to get back new job, I had offer but I just wanted to explore different career options in PSUs via exams, next time I did in 2024 this time I got offer during my notice period itself. Many of my friends say that I should not do it but I don't regret doing it, even if now I have 8month career gap in my CV. I have a personal belief that life is much more than a job so we should never bound ourselves in trying different things and exploring opportunities and taking some risk while doing so.
Yes. Got an offer in last 45 days. Would not recommend unless your current job is really toxic.
I did it last year because I had 90 days notice period. Initially it was very difficult for me to crack a single interview. Eventually during my last 30 days I cracked 3 interviews. And eventually joined one of them.
