I am an HR “Manager” with 8+ years experience. Bachelors in HR and a SHRM-CP cert. Currently employed at a manufacturing facility w/ 80 employees in Metro Detroit, Michigan (Macomb Twp). I am a department of one with no direct reports under me. I feel as though my role is more of a “generalist” position as my duties are more aligned with that. I am currently at $75k and promised to be increased to $82k in the next month. Bonuses are discretionary and never the same amount. Fairly compensated?

I have two questions. I have 10 years of experience in multiple sectors and I have been trying to gain a leadership position. I am attempting my PHR this summer but what are some tips in order for me to obtain a leadership position? Also, how long does it take to obtain another position out of state? My previous company I was working for a client where ppl frm Diff service based companies work together. Everyone have dedication towards work as the role was good.

Now the problem is with the current cmpny guys don't care about the work and the role isn't that challenging and don't see people take seriously abt work like loging quite late while the role requires to be in shift at right time.
Hard to mingle.
