Have you noticed an increase in US-based manufacturing in your industry? It seems to have remained the same with my company — our layoffs have only targeted office jobs. But I have seen competitors move their manufacturing out of the US so I’m not sure what the consensus is.

Anyone experience not working well with managers and up (due to micro-management, talk to you like a child, etc), but find them cool outside of work? Finding it hard to hang with them during HH now.

I attended a client interview last week and was selected for the same. Now they are asking to join within a day or two. I'm having my mom's surgery this week. How to safely refuse to join this client project for at least 10 days. I can't take leave for 10 days.

Had been working as a BA/PM role at a financial firm for 3.5 years and decided to leave corporate to join my family’s small business with the mentality I’d take things over. It’s been a little over a year and I’ve come to the realization that it’s not for me. My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?
