I was part of a 6 month investment that led to absolutely nothing recently which made me question a lot of things around here

Agree
Partners don’t know how to scope, push back, no strong presence … end up doing 4+months free work
Almost on all projects, which is kinda weird!
I heard the NIS was free as well

2024: Bad MD bloats firm, leaves before it collapses to become global CEO, results in hundreds fired
2025: Hires the partner who did the same in RB, and left before it also collapse resulting in hundreds fired
Great times ahead.

So at least he stayed around to fire hundreds this time around. Some improvements at least 🤷
I won’t be surprised. They are doing free projects for the client I am working on

Yupe heavily hiring people who end up sitting on the bench for months, while they’re talking about double digits growth. I heard about terrible leadership, now seeing it first hand.
Of course, they’re still there. Birds of a feather flock together!
This would’ve been a good idea years ago, but sentiment was Bain could just hire who they wanted for less money. Now the most talented partners have left I think Bain would even more prefer to just go hire them
Mentor
But somehow not hiring the talented ones who got OCd. Strange
Where did you hear that KPMG?

OP as a manager you know that first you should check the industry and then the firm. Check t1 - see this cycle. Check t2 - see who is left.
