I have a question and need advice. One of my friends used to work at a startup for 2 years and resigned back in April. However, they are refusing to give them any sort of relieving letter which is causing an issue in next job. They have an offer but since they do not have any sort of document that they do not work there anymore they are not giving the joining date. Any suggestions would be helpful.

What are your client follow-up/communication policies or practices? I’m hearing more and more that clients don’t like the long periods of time with little to no contact. From my perspective, since I bill for my time, unless I have an update or need something, I don’t initiate a call. Also, clients hold on to important info and don’t initiate a call cause they’re waiting for me to communicate with them.
