Has anyone left PwC while they still had an outstanding Educational Support Program repayment agreement? What is the repayment process like? Am I required to pay back the amount in full the day I leave the firm or is there the ability to do a repayment agreement? I’m looking at new opportunities and would like to have my new firm take on the amount of the tuition agreement ($14,000) but don’t know how much that might limit my options.

West coast best coast.
More chill people. Better weather - id take seattle or socal over NYC. Closer to national parks and skiiing. And for me, tech
I’d have to give a slight overall edge there as well for nature. If I didn’t have SAD, I’d still be living in Seattle today. Awesome city, beautiful nature, just wished I had more sun when I lived there 😢
Rising Star
Grew up in California. Live in Virginia now. The East Coast is old and angry. California is young and happy. Decide what fits best for you.
Depends what you like. I live in SoCal and you can’t beat the weather. However I do enjoy the seasons and decent food (some places) on the east coast.
I’m an intense person who walks fast and is kinder than I am nice, so… east coast. But currently stuck out west, where I don’t understand the people and they don’t get me, either 🥲
I second that “kinder than I am nice” is an absolute treasure of an expression which I will now also be using
West coast. Less of a rat race, what-are-you-doing-to-be-a-titan-of-industry vibe. Generally far easier to stay healthy and active due to the weather. Self-selection for people who are more open minded & willing to try/do new things from experience.
East coast
Moving back to the east coast - second the whole "kind vs nice" thing. There's a superficiality out west that I just can't vibe with
It’s been nigh impossible for me to make friends out here because of said superficiality. Really gets to your head after awhile
If you already live in NY or LA, I would argue that you have a 50/50 shot that you already live in the city that’s best for you. So many NYers come to LA and vice versa. Many hate it and move back after 5 years. I’ve lived in both. I think it boils down to where your network is.
Outside of which.. for the most part coastal west coast is better than coastal east coast imo just because the proximity to the city center. Newport Beach, for example, is a city in itself, whereas Rehobeth Beach is far af. There are exceptions like Miami obviously, but more often than not you’ll find big metros within 30 minutes from the water on the west coast vs a few hours in the east coast.
Inland west coast vs inland east coast.. I would lean towards east coast. Cheaper and less dustier.
Denver
Ya getting to the mountains can be a pain in peak hours. Condos aren’t that expensive, so if you are committed to recreating in the mountains that is the way to go. With a place it is much easier to travel in non peak hours.
Born and raised NYC east coast, worked on the west coast for a few summers and now it’s my next big goal to move over there.
Currently in NYC and have been for the past 6 years, but love SoCal. Planning a move to the west coast in 3 years or less.

I’ve lived on both coasts and for me, west coast, southern cali wins. There’s something about sunshine and nice weather all year that improves the mood/health.

Qualcomm is based there, General Dynamics has a huge presence, tons of biotech companies, and lots of smaller defense contractors. Strong average income vs the rest of the country
