Is 27 LPA is too less for 7 years of experience at Akamai ? Working as senior software engineer - devops

H1B visa stamped.

While applying for visa my company quoted 80K as compensation. Now they want to reduce it to 75K.

This feels like unfair practice. Is it common? What should be my approach?

Just got offered a job at a small biotech in London (UK). ~£45k plus bonus but only 1YR FTC and no equity.

Pretty sure it's a discovery role too.

I just finished my PhD at a very good uni with 3 years technician experience before that. BSc and MSc also at very good unis with good grades.

I think this offer is well below par, but curious to hear what you guys think/if you have any comparisons?

Specialist roles aside, such as digital, when you see someone describing themselves as a “generalist marketer” is this a resume you’d pass on? Should a DevOps Cloud Engineer with 2 years experience earning around 10 LPA (base salary) in a Fortune 200, switch to a startup which pays almost 20 LPA base salary?
The reason to ask this question is, wouldn't it be difficult at the time of second switch, to move to another big organisation after one is already at 20-24 LPA with just 3-4 years of experience at a startup?

I have cleared all my devops technical interviews and got HR round calls from 3 companies.
I have total 6.5 YOE and 3 years in DevOps domain and current salary is 6.1 LPA so can anyone suggest me how much salary should i ask in the HR round so I won't look to costly and not too cheap.
Should i ask 15LPA or anything or how much people earning same as my experience.
