I would like to ask for help/mentorship. I’ve been having a hard year to land a job and data analytics or something related to analysis but I’ve had a hard time. I’ve tried to reach out to people in Linkedin, who are data analyst or recruiters in various industries to ask for help I have not received any responses. I’ve also trieto apply to entry level positions, but keep getting rejected. I feel like I’m getting nowhere and really want to speak to someone that can help guide me.

What do you guys think, do recruiters share the real salary/range or are they sharing the low-end range for leverage? Or both?

And does being an internal or external recruiter influence how they approach salary transparency in the early screening/interview phase?

Do internal work titles mean anything? The ones that are used in the system instead of your official resume title

How long does Deloitte take to issue an offer. I interview for a DevSecOps position and was told I was getting an offer extended to me. I have barely heard back in almost 2 weeks from anyone about the offer and need to make a decision on other offers. What do I do? Could they be rescinding my offer?

I am a UX designer who has completed a Google certification program along with a resume and professional portfolio. However, I’ve struggled to find a job (remote). Any advice or resources I could use? Or are there any employers currently hiring and are interested? I’d be happy to hear from you.

If you see an open job posting at a company you want to work for, what steps do you take to apply? I’ve been told that cold applying and making no contacts is usually not going to lead to anything, and that’s been true in my experience. But should I reach out to someone first? Should i apply and then email someone? In HR? Or someone who’d be directly supervising me? Or someone at my level? And what should i say? Thanks!

What does it mean when your application goes from under consideration to application submitted with No HR screening.

Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. Based on some research around Boston and my role in the company, I feel 165k plus 10-15% bonus is fair. Nonetheless, first time going through something like this and asking for thoughts and comments. What are your thoughts on pay discrepancies based on family structure? Ex. Two people do the same job but one is paid more or given a larger bonus “because they have kids and you live alone” or “because their family is struggling”. Is that an ethical factor if both employees do the same job at the same pace, quality, etc?

I’m an FA at ML, been in the role for 1 year and 8 months, but have 23 years of industry experience. Quarterly, I have a performance review call with my Market Executive and until today never heard anything negative… my growth is slower than I’d like and definitely I’m sure that’s why, but today he said last time “they” wanted to give me a letter of education and he talked “them” out of it. First of all, who is “they” / “them” and what would the letter of education be for? Any thoughts?

I started picking up free sofas from Facebook and Nextdoor app and cleaning them and reselling them. On average i make about $250 per sale. Sometimes the sofas are so nice i don’t even need to clean them i just pick them up, stage them for pics, and profit!
In 3 weeks i made $1400 with around ~7 sofas. What started as a sort of joke turned into something really profitable!

I got hired as a BA, at an advisory firm. Im new to the industry and new to the role. I see that every BA is different in different companies. Right now I’m building out SOP’S for our different departments, as well working with clients guiding them through our pipeline. I get to Analyze data every now and then to help make business decision, but there’s less emphasis on this. What tools or resources should I be utilizing to help myself grow and keep pushing. This company is young and growing.
