I am currently a year from finishing my PhD and was looking at VC's as a career path because I like to do meta-analysis of different climate change techs. I networked with VCs and one of them was receptive but didn't have the budget currently for a full time hire. They said they'd be interested in working with me to do a research paper over the coming semester, and was wondering if I could leverage this into a full time offer?

Is a white paper with a VC going to be attractive on my CV?

Need a small suggestion. I got selected for HCL technologies and after 2 months they have sent me an email stating the offer is on hold because of some technical issues, when I had a word with HR she told me that the project went on hold.
So my query is if project will come will I be getting my offer letter?

I love my SO. We’ve been together for nearly a decade and are talking marriage. I know being with him though will require living far from my family. I love my family and dread the thought of being far from them. My SO has been transparent about wanting to return to his home country. I don’t want to lose him but I also dread being far from my family. What’s the right call here?
