I have been researching into this these days and there is literature that shares how lending worked in pre-Islamic Arabia. Anyone from EY-Parthenon, what does a typical senior consultant look like resume/experience wise? If I have audit and FDD experience as a Senior for 3 years (currently in FDD), a CPA, no MBA, is that enough to get in to EY-P? Or is the MBA basically required? What would I be missing? Thanks!

Are private companies easier to work at than public companies in accounting? We have such an accelerated close deadline at the publicly traded company I’m at now, I really hate the inflexible tight deadlines and analysis seems to drag on forever after that. We also close AP/AR very early in the month yet that doesn’t stop payments/receipts from happening so we’re constantly adjusting our accruals until the end of month. Do private companies start their close after the month actually ends?
