Bro you're overthinking it, just put it in and move on..
I am thinking the same

I mean it could be advantageous to put it in after the break since it's a free half paycheck, if you arent starting a new position right then.
Hmm wouldn’t it be smartest to wait until the first day back? That way you can take holiday time, then put your two weeks (likely being told to immediately turn in laptop), and then get paid 2 weeks + PTO?
I second that. They couldn’t bother with going to competitors. I had to work last two weeks.
Your last day may be the day before the break….they may not pay you for the break
Do you feel guilty or what? If so, you shouldn’t. No one cares. You will be forgotten about quickly - by January 15. Put in your two week notice, and enjoy your last two weeks which includes a lot of time off.
In the same boat. I decided I'm going to give my notice on the 17th and have my last day as Jan 6.
Starting a new position on 1/10. Also unsure of when to put in my 2 weeks. I’ll probably aim for next Friday the 17th and say I can work until the 6th if they want me.
If my last day is Jan 5, would I put in my two weeks ok dec 22?
But that’s more than 2 weeks tho?
