Hello ladies, I would like some advice. I have come to find out that the owner for my current company will ne selling it this year. This is not public knowledge at all. Only the executives know this. One of the executives made me aware because we have built a strong working relationship and he was upset that the owner would not make me aware. We are currently a 50m company. Realistically speaking, I fear that if it's bought my position will be eliminated. Part 2 next post.

Very specific to retail and/or hospitality in-house roles: has anyone found a good solution for predictive scheduling? Our retail division has one set of software for scheduling and one for payroll, and neither of them can handle predictive scheduling compliance issues unless they’re used for both the scheduling and payroll functions. I’m coming up empty on ideas for them to bridge the gap, but I’m also new to my compliance counsel role, so I would be overjoyed if anyone has suggestions.

I have a question, I got a contract role through a recruiter. Initially the recruiter offered the hourly pay rate which was the minimum in my range. Now I got an offer from the company. Now without me asking her she increased the hourly wage to the maximum range I asked. Which makes me doubt if the company increased it or she knew the rate all along but gave me the lower rate ?
