Approach it in a similar way you would approach any other addiction,
Self Discipline is an important aspect
Limit your gaming time instead of uninstalling and gradually bring it to zero
Keep yourself engaged in other activities if work doesn’t excite you say GMAT prep
For starters you can create a daily schedule and plan out every hour of the day - initially you might stick to the schedule say 50% but gradually if you’re consistent you’ll be disciplined towards your goal.
Cheers and All the Best
I tried uninstalling it but after few hours I just install it back.
Due to this I end up most of my team finding an excuse not to do any work and rather play the game or watch a movie and end up staying all night to finish my work. This is also impacting my GMAT prep.
Any suggestions would be really helpful

Dota is a very addicting game, For that I uninstall steam again and again, It is a lot of work to install steam & download the game (tales around an hour), till that time my urge to play the game is gone, and in the weekends I wake up early just to play the game as a reward of not messing up my work on the whole weekdays. So my suggestion would be not to try to stop playing the game, rather than in a week dedicate good amount of time just to play the game and reward yourself of not messing up with the work.
