Hey all.! Quick check. Does the referral system at Amgen actually work?
I referred someone for a Director role ~1 month back and it’s still stuck at “Application received” in Workday.

I’ve also heard from someone that referrals are not considered anymore (might be an old process), but now he can’t even reapply since the role is already applied for.

Any insight on what’s going on or what to do next?

Is it too much to ask a home health company for someone to shadow/orient? I was just hired PRN and that was something I asked for during the hiring process and the recruiter agreed. Never heard back and it’s been several weeks yet keep getting texts from the schedule if office to see patients. Is this typical for home health or a red flag? I have only worked in SNF and acute so I am new to HH plus this company specializes in lymphedema therapy. I am a CLT but want just a little but of training.

I heard that Senior Staff in mid-tier would most likely be hired as an “Experienced Hire” in Big 4. So I’m in industry from big 4, and a colleague with same yoe comes from MBB. High paying tech firm. I think I work harder and produce quality content at speed, but they can hold executive conversations that tend to impress senior stakeholders.

Big 4 produces work horses and MBB produces leaders. Also they could be a work horse too since I don’t have full visibility.

Anyone have similar experiences or do I just suck at executive stakeholder management?

Has anyone been through a job search with a Bar issue hanging over them? I’m being terminated at year’s end and the Bar still has not resolved discipline over a misdemeanor offense from which I just got completed diversion and expungement. Isn’t this just a total disqualifier for new work until I have a resolution?
