I'm looking for a mentor, I have a bit of story- traveled and country hopped for about 10 years before heading to uni and joining the Big4. I'm in my 30s now and don't know how to navigate the corporate world successfully. I have different goals/time lines than the 20 YOEs around me. I wish I had someone to answer my questions and guide me on the right way to handle situations. Anyone want/have time to connect? I don't want to do this alone anymore.

How can I try to get into VC? Particularly tough tech and things like robotics, automation, transportation, etc. I’m currently at T2 consulting in industrials and I’ve tried networking with a few VC firms in this space, but no luck.

EYP and Strategy& fishes, what sort of work do you do in the Life Sciences space (specifically Big Pharma)? And what sort of exits into industry have you seen your former colleagues make?

Does anyone have any tips on how to crossover to governmental affairs? I love government work, but I would like to try it from a different perspective.

Been working at my company as a new grad for almost a year, but don’t see myself in the team that I am in (working with Salesforce) for long term. Interested in frontend dev and have been learning on my own. Manager says chase doesnt have much React opportunities. Is it possible to make a switch when I barely have experience? Got ITA in Sep last year.
Applied for PR in November from US.
I got an email from IRCC in April, saying that the application has been approved, and will receive further notice on when I should send my passport for stamping.

But I still haven't received any updates on the next steps.

Anybody in the same boat?

I am contracted employee in a company . I am assigned POC work .No design or document, just my manager sent a video of youtube saying that we have create similar feature . Since there is no proper documentation still manager is forcing to complete it by next week end. There are many hit and trials I am trying and giving him daily report of what I have tried and what worked and not worked. Still giving pressure.

I was hired within the last year as a site supervisor. I did well my first few projects with the company. They asked if I’d be interested in transitioning into a construction manager role. I agreed. Now I still am the site supervisor on projects but I’m also doing all the construction manger duties on the project as well. Essentially 2 jobs for one salary. We have yearly reviews in December but no talks of raise have been discussed. Any help on approaching this to my boss?
