Hey everyone, i had a small query regarding maternity insurance cover. So, i got an offer and i will be joining that company in August. The thing we are expecting a baby in Oct. Does company policy for maternity also gets covered from day 1 of joining or is there any kind of minimum period that i should spend X days only after that maternity will be covered.

I received an offer from big 4 with 60% hike. My managers wants to retain and I asked them to match if you want me to be retained.
Now I got a call from GPM yesterday. He used harsh words like "being greedy" "selfish" etc and offered me 30% in the end.
I politely declined but he asked me to reconsider as he said "it would be unfair for the org for you to leave so soon."

Let me know a proper response.

Also what do you think of this behavior by GPM?
