Not uncommon AE1. Usually a second round in person practice and likely to serve as a chemistry check with a team.
OP just be ready to answer on management styles and conflict solving. Also, don’t be arrogant/prickish ;)
Good luck
That’s what I was thinking! I currently work with awesome people and I would love to make sure there’s good chemistry. Thank you AD1!
Come prepared with thoughtful questions for them about what they need to feel supported and what your vision for the team is.
It’s a good thing. No one likes getting a new boss that they’ve never spoken to, and for a new boss you want to lay a foundation before you start.
The key is to listen and answer questions. Usually they will want to know what you are bringing to the table and how it will affect their work, or career growth. In terms of what you want to learn from them, they can give you a perspective on the daily challenges they deal with and their POV on the agency.
Usually, if you meeting with people who you’d supervise, then the job is yours. You just need to not wave any red flags but use the opportunity to establish an expectation when you start the gig.
Not uncommon at all - be yourself. be prepared for questions about supervision style. don’t be arrogant. think of it as more of a conversation than an interview.
you definitely should ask what their goals are, and how you can help achieve them. for example i interviewed with an AE who wanted to learn more about tv production, so i had her shadow me throughout the process.
also, most people are terrible interviewers so i would expect that you may be asking a few questions to the ae
Play nice no matter what. You can always trim the deadwood after
Remember to listen
Lolll they let ur juniors interview you? Wutt
