Hey everyone! I'm a recent college graduate trying to learn about employment contracts before I get my first job. I want to know what terms are normal or not. This is all very new to me, and I like to know what I should look out for just in case of predatory rules.

I've seen people online mention contracts that require employees to stay for two years or pay a large fee for leaving early. Are these agreements common and legitimate, or are they usually a red flag?

What small to medium size Post shops are your favorites? Great if in addition to Edit they can do some Gfx (nothing fancy) & finish too, (basic Color). Too many projects with the same vendor & need more variety. NYC/East coast a plus but not a must… Any thoughts?

I broke up with my EX mainly because the relationship with my child and her was not the best, it sucks but I have to look out for my child, So far I am able to do the things I can do now. It is not the I am not Hoeing around but the simply fact that I can hang out with friends and go watch my son play baseball is a great feeling now. I feel at peace now, in somewhat of pain because of the breakup but I am at peace now.

I’m graduating in December, with a background in environmental economics and policy. Consulting didn’t work out this cycle. Made it to final rounds for Bain and Kearney but in the end didn’t get an offer. I want to recoup and try again, but I’m worried that once I’m out of undergrad the door will be closed to starting in consulting.

What can I do to make this happen? I have friends and connections at Bain and Kearney and the other firms as well, but not sure if it’s feasible now.
