I’ve worked there for 2ish years. Work life balance is meh. Depending on what account you are on you can be working 60 hour weeks or not at all. Little to no travel. Salary is lower than other consulting firms. Vacation policy is great and we have lots of holidays.
I will say that I do enjoy most of my colleagues within the Salesforce COE (came from a company called Vertiba). Very humble and supportive people to work with! However I do not like working with people from Publicis Sapient side. The people I have worked with are rude, demanding, and very set into their ways of doing things. Going forward, leadership wants to combine/merge the Salesforce CoE and Salesforce people from Publicis Sapient to work with each other on projects. I do not foresee this going well.
Finally, the promotion process is a fucking nightmare. They changed it this year to make it more “transparent”. When they disclosed the new process, leadership made it sound like you needed to be staffed in the role you wanted to be promoted in to prove you can do the role. Once your documentation cleared and you got the okay from leadership, you got the promotion. Instead, I’ve found there are rules like your bill rate on your current project and future utilization (out to six months) that were not disclosed that factor into your promotion. A lot of these things are completely out of my control. I’ve known people who have waited over six months from promotion submittal to getting their raise in their paycheck.
Overall, it’s not bad but it’s not good either.
PS originally bought Vertiba in 2017. They formally integrated the two in name around 2019-ish. We started using PS systems in 2020. However the original PS folks were primarily versed in marketing cloud and e-commerce. Vertiba had experience in all clouds, while being primarily focused on public sector. At the beginning they kept us separated but are now wanting to pull us together into one practice.
