Having a baby and looking for consulting exit opps. I’ve been in strategy consulting for two years and recently promoted to manager. All projects were in tech or LS. Prior to consulting I have 10 yrs of Pharma experience with a MS in Engineering (non-CS) and data science. Fluent in Python, Ruby and Java but never coded professionally. I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

I have around 4.5 YOE in manual testing. I worked for just 6 months in automation(selenium) out of 4.5 years. While giving interview I said that I have experience in manual and automation both for 4.5 years and cracked around 5 to 6 interviews out of 10.

I am afraid will I be able to work properly when I will join new organization as automation tester? As I have learned online only and don't have much practical exposure. Will I face any difficulties while working?

MS Teams Tips:
1. Always prefer to ping someone and check their availability before calling them directly. If someone calls you directly ask them to ping you and check before calling directly.
2. For Groups in Teams, Prefer to mute the notifications, else they would continuously buzz and disturb you.
3. Don’t ping on a weekend or Holiday. If someone does the same, prefer not to reply.
4. Deliberately put the status as offline in teams every Friday evening.
