Dare to Lead - Brené Brown This changed my whole outlook on authentic leadership.
The Confidence Code by Katty Kay and Claire Shipman. Fantastic book about countering the subtle messages we women often receive that damage our self confidence, especially in professional environments. Really got me thinking, taught me to own my own capabilities and to not be afraid to advocate for myself.
Thanks for the rec, just listened to the audiobook. Definitely gave me a lot to think about and reflect on how I view myself.
100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. ALSO A Little Life which will make you weep. Both different novels different authors but awesome
Being mortal by Atul Gawande.
Hands down.
Braiding Sweetgrass by Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer. Truly words to live by on how to be in right relationship with the world offered generously through her unique perspective as an academic (botanist) and a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation.
The Game of Life and how to play it by Florence Shinn
The Dream Giver by Bruce Wikinson.
Markings, a collection of Dag Hammarsjkold’s thoughts.
So many, but I often go back to “The Wonder Spot” and “The Girls Guide to Hunting and Fishing” by Melissa Bank. It’s hit me differently at each age from my 20’s to 40’s.
Yes, both are fiction and are short story collections. They’re very insightful.
THANK YOU ALL!
