I had recently an interview with Infosys bpm. I had an assessment test which I cleared and then an interview round with manager which I cleared again. They told me to submit my documents for background verification. Do you guys have any idea how much time would it take to complete the process and get offer letter?

Just out of curiosity, have you ever started a new job and thought what the hell am I getting myself into?!?
If it was the wrong fit how long did you grin and bear it? 6 months / 1 year / longer?
Did it get better with time or worse? (For instance just a case of lack of know-how)
If you left did you find securing a new job difficult due to only being there for so little time?

Any advise on best course of action for case in which manager intentionally blocks promo opportunity (on different team) so they can keep you in role. And then claim that you are not ready for promo (after they initially were all about you being ready)?
